Fluir…. Quiénes somos si no somos nuestra personalidad, nuestras acciones, nuestros pensamientos, nuestros trabajos, títulos, objetos, pasiones, deseos, ilusiones, recuerdos, experiencias?

Let it be and let it go

Photo by me in Gran Canaria
A part of me is dying, and it hurts. Letting go of layers of beliefs that are drowning me. But the greatest feeling lurking behind is relief. Behind all the anger, the rage of unfelt understanding, of words blowing away in the wind for no one to listen to, or worst, to be ignored… Worst for my mind, my ego, the “me” I made myself to be. Behind all that my mind likes to categorise and put in boxes for me to relate to, thinking it is me, behind this great illusion of needing validation apart from the true source within, behind everything lies stillness and peace. I watch from behind “myself” the chaos of my being disintegrating. And I let it break. I let it slowly die of starvation. I will not feed it fear anymore. Because I’m tired. So so tired. Watching it at the same time as “I” react in it. Witness and actor all the same… The play, the illusion, the game… The spectator… All the same… It’s all Her. Eternity making shapes… What more is there really than to just let it be? Let it be, and let it go. Whatever is, is. I trust I’ll have the courage and enough discernment to stay aware… To remember. To be.

Aware

Art by me
More than ever I trust that life is a constant flux, always and forever in motion. Death is just another word for change. We cannot know death to be true until experienced. The body dies, but life is eternal. We cannot stop life, we cannot therefore stop death. But we can be aware of living, aware of changing, aware of this fact. And to be aware, only that simple thing, is all I ever want. To always be aware.
As long as there is something to cure, there will be an illness. As long as there is something to look for, the search will never end. What if what I truly already know, is already all to be known? Then, what else can there be? I can’t stop pondering the question of my purpose, of purpose itself…. Maybe not-knowing is actual Wisdom. Just living in the void. The darkness I face when I arrive at the distinct moment of realisation that maybe, there is nothing left to search for… For now, what I feel is panic when faced with this… Breathing through each moment as a gift in time and space for me to be aware. Only that for now, to be aware…

Life and choices
Life doesn’t have to be how others say it should. Life is how you make it. Take what you are, what you’ve got, and make the best of it; the best for YOU. Not everyone is the same, so why must everyone live according to certain rules? There are already so so many rules in society, don’t let your life be one of them if you do not wish. Get married if you want, or don’t. It isn’t necessary to follow rituals and rules you don’t truly believe in just because it is more common around you. Have a baby, or don’t. Don’t be afraid of losing out on something. What you choose from your own heart can never be wrong. Start a career at 50; live anywhere and nowhere; be fearless or live and learn from your fear living in a small safe place; travel the world or stay in your bed and travel through your imagination, books, myths and stories. Just do whatever you want. It really doesn’t matter what anyone thinks; anyway, we can never ever keep everyone forever happy because it isn’t our job, first of all, it is a personal work in progress, self studying method of inner knowledge and development. And secondly, happiness is a choice. Everything is a choice. Are you going to choose for yourself or for others?
This also reminds me to never judge others paths and choices. I feel happy when I see people making choices from their hearts, even if I don’t agree with them or they affect me. But the fact that that person is choosing for his or herself is much more gratifying than me being “right”. Awareness and observation brings so much mental freedom, thank you practice!

Teaching
Meditate. Or, don’t meditate. Smile. Or, don’t. Eat healthy, whatever that might mean. Or don’t. Be here now, or fly away to the past or to the future. Be happy, or don’t. I truly believe that for balance to exist externally, it must be achieved internally. What we think, what we say, what we do, what we believe, must be aligned and somehow must be balanced. Whatever that connection may be, be true to it. Nothing else. Don’t listen to anything or anyone if it doesn’t align with you; You in the greatest and most profound sense. I am a teacher, that is my job, my life calling and my purpose, but I have a little problem with the way this is viewed sometimes nowadays.. . I understand it in a way where teaching is the greatest service I can personally give to the world, by sharing what I experience and learn in a way that shows you that you don’t need me, you only need you…. I will not impose my beliefs onto others, only expose them for others to choose if it works for them. I hope I can communicate my message this way, and that is why I practice Yoga & Meditation. To truly know I am just a vehicle, nothing else. And I am content in that space.
